I have tried many cameras, wansview, edimax, foscam, etc. So far this is the best camera I've used. For the price I paid for this camera, it's totally a steal.The build of this camera is very solid. I've seen so many cheap cameras, most of them are like plastic toys. This camera is totally different, it weights quite heavy, the metal is quite thick and make me feel confident about having this outdoor.Installation is easy, three screws and you are done (sadly you still need to wire power cord for an outdoor camera). The setup is easy too, software is quite intuitive and takes less than 5 minutes. I can use my phone or PC to watch live feed of the camera from anywhere. The image quality is way better than other cameras. Even though the resolutions are the same, somehow this camera's image is sharper as I compare it side to side to another brand.The camera is reliable, no question at all. I set up the camera to upload image every minute, any missing image will trigger an alarm. The camera has been running none stop for over a week and not a single upload missed.Last but not least, the price is not beatable by any other camera. Give this camera a try, you will like it too!

This camera assumes you know your way around your network and can find it's IP. Chances are it's going to be on a different subnet when you plug it in (more expensive cameras do this as well), so you'll have to change that to match your network. Other than that small hurdle, you get a good camera with decent picture quality and pretty good IR range. It's very solidly built and pretty heavy. I've had no issues with the lens fogging up in rain, but i'm in Florida where the rain is warm. True, like others have said, support is pretty much non-existent, but there's really not much to go wrong on it. Its either going to work or not.

I purchased this camera based on the features it offered, including wireless connectivity to my home network, outdoor capabilities and night-time recording. I could never get it to connect to my home network. The instructions, which are terrible and sparse, noted this problem was a possibility and instructed to contact customer service. However, when I tried to call, they simply put you into voice mail and the company answering is under a different name than Gigaeye. I tried getting on their website and few of the links work and none of the links in "Support" work. I also tried to e-mail them and the e-mail was returned as undeliverable because "recipient does not exist". This company definitely strikes me as being quite shady and I would NOT recommend them.

Missing charger. Broken. No refund? Do not buy

I was never able to connect this camera to my network. The application to scan for a camera never found one. My router showed that it never requested a DHCP address. There were no signs of life other than a single LED on the network connector. The manufacturer's web site was useless. All the links for support, FAQs, downloads, troubleshooting are all are dummies.

Terrible WiFi range and the FPS is under 20. I would not recommend this to anyone, pay the extra $50 and get a working model.
