Sprinter 4x4 Diesel: works great.
Purchased a 2018 Sprinter 4x4 Diesel motorhome and used this at 5000 miles. The rig is not a daily driver so wanted to ensure the injectors and fuel system were clean. Our mileage went up by 5mpg and has stayed there for two tanks so far, the engine also seems to run much smoother. Am not a review writer in general as most reviews wind off topic or express opinion versus observed factual results. If you are considering this for a sprinter, it no kidding works far better than I would have ever estimated. Given the results in the Sprinter we have used the gas version of Techron additive in an F150, and a Jeep, mileage went up by 20 % in both. Great product! The gas version is available at Chevron stations but Amazon is the only place we have seen the diesel version thus far.

Excellent product
Nothing works this well in cleaning injectors. Noticeable difference after 2 tanks of gas with 2 treatments.

Saved me a bunch of money!
The ominous check engine light appeared on my 2009 BWM 335d. A great diesel car, if you don't mind really high repair bills. So my "friendly" BMW service agent told me that the computer said there was some carbon build-up in the intake side of the engine. They'd have to take the header off my beast at a cost of $2,400 for the examination. No estimate of what the repair would cost on top of that. Well.....after running through one tank of diesel with a bottle of the Techron D, the light went out. Really! Needless to say I'm overwhelmingly happy. For good measures, I put a charge of Techron in every other tank. Yeah, it adds to my fuel cost but this baby gets 40 mgh on the highway and accelerates like a rocket so it's cheap insurance. (PS, I don't work for Chevron. Actually, I used to work for one of their competitors so no pay back of any kind for this recommendation.)

Works quite well
Poured a bottle of this in my car when I bought it pre-owned and it made the car run a bit smoother. Things got progressively better as I continued using it. Consistent use is best (atleast once every 2 months or so) to maintain the performance of your vehicle.

Engine fuel system cleaner
I bought this product for my 2011 VW TDI SPORTWAGEN,on the recommendation of my diesel mechanic....I was having hard starts and the car sat around 6+ hours...added to my tank 150 miles ago...the problem seems to be improving with quicker startups

Chevron invented this cleaning chemical and it works as advertised.
You can buy all kinds of fuel system cleaners and most of the effort goes into the name of the product and the mean looking character they put on the bottle to convince you it's going to do a great job. Chevron invented this Techron cleaning agent years ago. It's in most high octane and cetane fuels. This is the most economical way to get a concentrated shot into your fuel system. It has worked well for me.

Appears to improve mileage by about 5%.
I have been a faithful Techron gas additive user for some 40 years, finding that regular use every 5000 miles or so helps to keep fuel injectors clean and improves mileage. So when I purchased my diesel powered small RV, I did some searching and discovered that Chevron had just started making Techron for diesels. It’s so new that none of the local auto parts stores are stocking it.Just after my new diesel passed 5000 miles, I poured in a bottle of Techron Diesel at the next fill up. This isn’t scientific at all, but on my approximately 2200 mile trip, I had kept close tabs on my actual mileage, which averaged 18.3 to 19.1 mpg. The tankful with Techron was 20.1 mpg. I was westbound for the last 3 tankfuls, with a slight constant quartering headwind, over relatively flat country (Iowa, Nebraska, eastern Colorado). That’s good enough for me—I’ll keep using Techron Diesel in my diesel RV.
