Billy-Bob Secure Smile Novelty Temporary Cosmetic Teeth Makeover- For Lower Teeth

I do not know what I was expecting, but I will tell you it was not what I got. These are a joke! They are totally useless and not worth the powder to blow them up with. They are hard, brittle, and designed to align and go over the front of your teeth with a small shelf at the top on the back side of the teeth that sits on top of your natural teeth. They look hideous.... like horses teeth. I do not have a clue how you are supposed to keep these teeth on (not that I would want to.) Since there are no backs they fall right off. If you are supposed to glue them to the front of your teeth... ack!I read the reviews and most are honest. They are not worth the money. I wish I would have listened. I went by the one good review who said they loved them. All I can say is they must have been the seller or fake teeth designer. Trust me save your money.

I normally only write reviews on products I really like and this is no exception. These are not to be used as false teeth, that is the first thing you need to understand, but for my purpose they turned out to be PERFECT. Two years ago I had to go through chemo and radiation treatment for throat cancer. I'm glad I'm alive (science be praised!) and feel I have no right to complain about anything but some of the side- and after effects have been life altering. Until the age of 39 I had never had a cavity, and only then because of a tooth that had broken in a car accident when I was 25. Radiation was devastating to my teeth. In spite of prophylactic measures, the nuclear fire aimed at my head cost me salivary function and devastated my enamel. Now the crumbling has begun. the first to go were my two lower front teeth. I am an IT professional as well as an instructor and your appearance speaks loudly to your credibility. As I venture into what I expect to be dental hell and transition to dentures, these things have given me a whole new lease on my appearance. I can't eat with them so I have to make sure that I have a place to discreetly reapply them, but the difference they make is well worth it.They came in an over-sized padded envelope. After three tries softening them in progressively hotter water I was able to achieve a very snug fit. Just to be sure, I purchased some denture adhesive. After making sure the surface that I applied it to on the teeth was completely dry I applied as little adhesive as possible in strategic places. I blotted the area where the piece would adhere to in my mouth as dry as possible then applied the teeth. It took a day of talking to adjust to them but MAN what a difference they made. Five stars from me for being the perfect low cost solution.

If you're interested in this product as an alternative to cosmetic veneers, know this:1. You'll need thermoplastic beads that come with Billy Bob's other Secure Smile products ( Secure Smile Cosmetic Dentures False Teeth Novelty ) in order for the teeth to stay (lock) in place.2. The teeth are very brittle until they are first fitted and may arrive broken.My teeth arrived broken, but I fitted them separately for an intended family member, and used thermoplastic that was left over from fitting the upper veneers in order to hold these lower veneers in place. There is absolutely no way to the lower teeth in place otherwise. Additionally, I used a touch of super glue after the lower veneers were fitted in order to make sure that they stayed as one piece.Without thermoplasic, which isn't packaged in the product, this product is useless. It's also kind of shifty how, despite there being no thermoplastic, and Billy Bob's assurance that this product is just a toy, there IS an add in the package to purchase a rather specific brand of denture glue.Bottomline: too much legwork on my end in order to make the product work well.

Wish these came in a smaller size. I got them as a temporary fix until I can afford get my bottom teeth worked on. I wanted something to cover my bad teeth. But these are FAR TOO BIG for my mouth with my top teeth in. So I am trying to figure if I can file them down or find something that I can cut some of the bottom gum part off to make them fit. The cost is right. You should know: you cannot eat with them (you might break them.) Also, as I said, one size does not fit all when it comes to mouths. Also you MUST have some teeth on bottom to secure these too. So if you thinking these can take the place of dentures, they can't. If only they fit, they would be good to wear out in public and put a prettier smile forward as a temporary alternative.
