Works exactly as I had hoped. Easy to push into the ground by hand. The swivel works perfectly to set your camera angle and tightens nicely. Plenty of threads to mount the camera onto. Sturdy aluminum stake with crinkle coating on entire piece. Pictured is the stake with a GoPro Hero 9 Black and external battery pack.I bought this because I take time lapses shots of the sunrise. Originally used a three legged tripod, but the wind kept blowing it over. This is a perfect solution for a sturdy camera mount that will remain in place till I move it. No more lost footage! Sturdy and heavy piece of equipment. Worked perfect with my go pro. I shot some super sweet time lapse videos from the beach with this. It’s sharp for sure so you shouldn’t have a problem getting it in to any “sturdier” ground!Can’t go wrong with this for the price!

My bad- I really didn’t realize the enormity of this stake! Too big for my needs and hard to place into the ground during dry periods due to its size. Says for “soft” ground- this would be accurate or you need a mallet or strong hands! Easy and sturdy in the sand! Does what it is supposed to. Just not the right fit for my needs. Good quality product if this is the size you want. Ball head is removable. It is quite sharp for piercing ground but watch carefully if you have little ones around. Sturdy enough to last a lifetime if you take care of it.

I was a huge fan of this solid metal spike for my insta360 camera until it broke. The large spike allowed me to get great photos, videos, and timelapses on sand, and dirt while at the beach or camping and use long selfie sticks to securely raise the camera or angle the camera. However, after 4 months and only a handful of uses the plastic parts broke and made the whole thing useless. The two parts that broke are the plastic tightening joint that secures the ball mount and the circle base. So without those parts the mount won't hold anything vertical. I'm very unsatisfied that these parts are made from cheap plastic and break easily and I have contacted the seller to see if they can be replaced.

I like this because it’s metal and the ball is easy to lock and stay locked. Because it’s metal it’s a little heavy for my pack but worth it when I’m in dirt that I need to really work to stick my go pro into the ground.

Really simple and easy way to mount a ground level trail cam for critter and security surveillance. No complaints. Sturdy with very adjustable angles.

Very sturdy and just the right height

This spike lasted me a few months. It was great at first but there’s an issue where it screws in; it’s made cheaply and the threads get stripped quickly rendering the spike unusable. Very disappointed.
