Reasonably useful but process is somewhat cumbersome.
Physically this appears to be a satisfactory product for copying pages from bound books. The problem I have is that it takes quite a few steps to get what I want out of it: (1) Capture the image of the page. (2) Rename the file. (3) Convert the JPEG image to PDF. (4) Run OCR. (5) Highlight noteworthy passages. (6) Add note or comments to highlighted passages. I use the packaged software for some functions and then shift to another PDF editing software to complete the process. It seems like if it was a little more straight-forward to get from Image Capture to Rename to PDF it would be much more attractive.
