Fun for 4 players
I really enjoyed 4 player games of this, I think it's were it most shines. You get the best out of the mechanic of the game,In 3 and 2 player games, the game is still fun but it stalls a little, and you don't get the best out of the cards and the dice mechanic.Components:14 dual sided tokens, one side is a Victory token (gained by surviving around), the other side is a Kill token (gained by delivering Killing blows)4 life gauge tokens12 robot identity cards (each has a special ability that can be triggered by Kill tokens)24 part dice, each side has a specific part identified by a different color.4 Robot boards (each has 6 slots for dice, one for each extremity, one for the chest, and one for the head)78 action (attack/defense) cardsEach card has 5 attributesCost (part type required to activateSpeed (1 -6, 6 being faster, the order in which they are resolved during play)Direction (target of the attack, player to your right, to your left, all players, select player)Damage (damage to inflict on target)Effect (some cards have an additional effect)The components are of very good quality, the dice are not painted on, they are engraved, and the cards are solid enough that you can use them without sleeves (though I still sleeved them), and the tokens are cardboard punchots that are solid enough to not bend.Gameplay:Initial Setup:The attack cards are shuffled to a community deck, they get 6 part dice, a Robot (board) with a life gauge token, and (optional) a random Robot Identity card. Players determine who the First player is, and if they'll go clockwise or counter clockwise.Match: it consists of a Refesh Phase, Savenger Phase and a Battle Phase, at the end of each Match all surviving players get awarded a Victory token. There are Matches until a Player can be declared the winner.**Refresh Phase** Each player draws 6 cards from the community deck, and place their Damage gauge token at 6.**Scavenger Phase** After getting a chance to see their cards and note which kind of parts they need to activate their cards, all players roll their 6 dice to the center of the table creating a community junkyard of 6xPlayer parts. Then each player picks up parts and places them on their robot slots, leaving the head to be filled last, parts must be picked up one at a time, and using only one arm. Head has a special effect depending on the Part placed in it, the part placed in the head can be used to pay for a card or to activate the effect in any Battle round.**Battle Phase** it consists of 6 rounds, one for each card, in each round All players play a card face down, once all players have a card face down in front of them, they reveal it at the same time and pay for the card with the corresponding Part from their Robot, if the card is not paid for it does not activate and it's like the player didn't play a card this round, played cards are resolved by speed order, starting with Shields, then with the fastest. The faster cards dodge attacks from slower cards while the slower cards get hit by the faster ones that target them and move the Damage gauge token down their Damage bar. If any player dropped to 0 in their Damage bar they are out of the Match. Once all cards are resolved, start the Battle Phase again until all 6 cards have been played or winner of the Match can be declared or no players remains. If you were using Robot Identity cards, award a Kill token to any player who delivered a Kill blow during the round. Award a Victory token to any survivng players.**End Game** The first player to gain 3 Victory tokens is the winner of the game, if more than one player earns 3 Victory tokens at the same time, there is a Sudden Death match**Sudden Death** The players with 3 Victory tokens play an extra Match without resetting Damage from the previous battle, the surviving player wins. If all or no Players survive or it is considered a tie.As I said, the game seems made for 4 Players, playing with less players breaks the game, it is either one sided, or it feels like players are just ganging up on one opponent.I don't consider this a bad game or a bad purchase in any way, I didn't give it 5 stars because I don't enjoy 2 or 3 player games and it limits the times I can use it, but you can try it out and it might work for you.I really enjoy this game, but I don't see myself playing 2 or 3 player games again, so that limits the times I can play it. I enjoy the chaotic nature of the Scavenger phase the rush of beating other players to a specific part, the interaction that it causes with 4 hands trying to reach for the same dice. But at the same time, it might leave one or two slower players with scraps of parts that they don't need and thus can't activate their cards during battle, and those players don't really enjoy the game.So we house rulled two things, the Savenger phase, we alternate between a regular scavenge round and a personla scavenge round, in the personla scavenge round, each player rolls their dice for themselves and keep the dice they need placing them on their robot as normal, they then reroll the remaining dice, getting 3 rolls max in total and keeping the third roll as it is. This allows for the player to have more control over what parts they get, and still leaves the odds of not getting what they need. This made the game more enjoyable for my group. The second thing we house rulled is the Sudden Death, we don't like ties, so there are Sudden Death Matches until one player remails. If no player survies the Sudden Death, then we call it a tie.The game says age +14, I don't have kids, but I do see younger kids enjoying and understanding the game, maybe +10.

Do the dicebot
This game is a great way to sneak in some fun in under an hour with friends. I highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys dice games. While it claims that it is recommended for ages 14 and up, it is suitable for younger crowds as well, and many under 14 would probably enjoy it as well. It has a good blend of strategy and chance. It is best with 3-4 players, though you can play head-to-head and have fun that way as well. I like it so much that I have bought additional copies as gifts for friends and family.

Fun
Simple but fun. Good for kids and adults. One of the better dice games.

Such a pleasant surprise.
DiceBot Megafun sounds simple, but because you are at the mercy of the huge dice roll (not huge dice, just a lot at dice to be rolled at once), plans can go awry. While you may think you have the weapons to attack successfully, if you haven't collected the parts to execute your plan, you need to regroup and try something else. And if you don't defend your robot well, good luck on the next attack. In its present form this is a good game out of the box. But the rules and execution of this can be tweaked to make it a great game. We basically remove the chaotic free-for-all that happens during dice roll and go to a turn based selection process. That way everyone can at least get something they need for their robot without having to just grab dice while everyone else is also frantically doing so.We have a pad of paper that we keep with the game and every time we come up with a way to make the rules better, we jot it down for the next game. We have even played this as a cooperative game where we work to defeat 2 or 3 other "dummy" robots. The dummy robots get random dice that are adjacent to the ones we pick for our robots. Then we combine attacks against the robot and then we need to join defenses for protection for their joint attack on us. Its fun. just try it.This plays well with multiple players but also plays well with just two. Actually I think that the two player game may be more strategic and less random. This is certainly worth the price and you also get a bunch of well made unique and interesting dice.
