Hansen Classic Games Mancala with Glass Beads - 17.72" Game Board and Smooth Glass Stones - 00205

In an era of video games and high tech, it is refreshing that my grandkids love playing this classic game. The glass beads are colorful and the board is well-made. This is a fun game!

Hard to find a nice and neat Mancala set on the internet that isn't $5,000. This one came with the box a little damaged, but the piece itself was fine. Came also with nice glass pieces that I was worried about being plastic or cheap.

I feel like I could have made this myself maybe or similar. Basically it's like a smooth plywood but has a nice brown woody texture with small grooves for the holes and bigger dips for the outer play spots. The beads you could get from any store or garden area. They are basically beads although you can get stones or marbles. But one stone was noticable a different size from the other. Over all we played this for two afternoons and got bored of it pretty fast. Good for younger kids but the mathematics work out that it just depends who goes first to win the game usually. So replayability is average. Over all a decent board. Not super portable but not bad either.

The game box was tattered - looks like I bought it used!

I bought this for my daughter's 6th birthday as a gift. It is a nice game. Easy enough for her to understand and also room to learn some strategy. The board is nice quality, as are the stones. As another reviewer mentioned, the wells are not super deep (reason for 4 stars), but it doesn't seem to be too much of a problem. I like that the stones could be easily replaced by something at your local $1 store if they were lost. I love the simplicity of this game in today's modern world, lets us get back to spending time together without commercialized distractions, and this board is pretty enough to leave on the table.

This is the only Mancala I found online at this price. I tried another site first which was higher and they ended up charging my credit card and not being able to deliver. Amazon delivered fast with all the pieces included. My daughter loves this games and she is only 7 but can understand how to play it. Now her afterschool program is not the only place she can play. Yes! #1 Mom to me!

I wanted a nice mancala board that didn't fold, this is nice and looks classy. I keep it out in my living room.

it appears to be a good quality board but the holes are too small to hold very many stones. Very difficult to play because of the holes being too small.
