## Description

desertcart.com: Microwave Flower Press Kit, 5 Inch Portable Craft Preservation in Minutes | Quick flower drying in minutes for fresh blooms & leaves, with washable absorbent cloth and reusable parts for DIY crafts : Toys & Games

Review: Easy and Quick - I was hesitant, but I absolutely love this product!! I used flowers that were already pretty dry, so I think it was quicker than if I used fresh flowers. My microwave is 1200 watts, so I used 10-second bursts for about 2 minutes. Results were great, and I put them in a photo album to keep. Instructions were very easy to follow, and it came with lots of great tips. Overall I love it!!
Review: Perfect! - I love this and use it a ton. I'm bad about waiting til my flowers are half dead to press them so any loss of vibrancy is entirely on me. I have a tiny flower garden and occasionally get flowers from my husband so this is perfect to press a couple each time for my junk/art journal. Super fun and I don't feel like I'm missing anything by having the smaller one.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you put two of these in the microwave at the same time? Has anyone tried doing two at the same time?**
A: You could, but it would increase the processing time so there would not be a great advantage. Two 5" presses can be clipped together for pressing long leaves and stems, or ferns. Just put the presses side by side. Use 2 clips on the ends and two clips at the sides, over the ends of the seam between the presses.

**Q: does it smell?**
A: With normal pressing their may be a very slight hurbal odor, depending on what you are pressing. However, the felt is made from wool and should you not follow directions and put the press in the microwave for much too long, you could burn the felt pads after which you will certainly need to air out your house. If you follow directions, under normal usage, there will not be a problem with smell.

**Q: Is the wool pad made out of real wool from sheep?**
A: It appears to be real wool, but as it's not labeled it's impossible to know for sure. It's quite dense, very moisture wicking, fast drying and has the sane feel as a wool jacket or scarf.

**Q: I don’t really understand how to use this. When microwaving in intervals do you take it out between intervals or flip it or do anything to it?**
A: You take it out of the microwave between intervals and open it up to check on the flowers. Each flower will press differently, depending on their thickness and water content. Touch each one. If it feels tacky, then it is not ready yet and should go in for another, shorter interval. The flowers should feel more like tissue paper when they are ready.

*by S***A on October 3, 2026*

This is amazing! So easy to use and works perfectly to press and dry flowers and leaves. They keep their color for the most part and I’ve used it to make background for dry flowers pictures ( I dry flowers using silica gel and arrange them over the pressed flower background. It would be perfect to make all kinds of projects from cards to pictures. I highly recommend!!!
