I was able to tuck the wire out of site for a nice clean look, I don't like wires that are exposed it just makes the car look messy. It's plug and play once you route the wires. It could be slightly longer, I used it in my minivan so the distance from the top of the windshield down to the fuse box is longer than most cars. I was able to make it reach, but had to reroute it a few times and have it routed not in the ideal location but it works.
