But if in parallel, you should get more amp hours (plus possibly some wasted energy as no 2 batteries are exactly the same in internal resistance; thus the strongest would discharge internally through the weakest unless they block that with diodes, which in turn should cause a little voltage loss. Theoretically it may be a bad idea to put batteries in parallel, but practically it may make little problem. **Q: Will this work for the dcd771c2?** A: Actually the flex volt batteries WILL work with the 1820 adapters. You just have to trim off the two small ears on the adapter that prevent the flex volt battery from sliding all the way in.
