It is made for the US market so the AC power cord is no use here unless you have a step-down transformer and plug adapter. But this was not a concern for me since portability is important for me, so I only use this with batteries anyway. Would've been great if it had short wave. Can't have everything, I guess. And I always use it on AC. Ask seller once which model they have. **Q: Does this work with 220 v ac ?? I want only 220 v ac model..** A: I have received model which works on 230 volts. So I believe it is not a 220v model. But It will still run on this nearby voltage. **Q: As aa size batteries have very less life , does it support bigger um size cell.** A: You might but need separate container and wires and connections to do it.
