An astonishing book of unit origami and none are technically hard to do. Wish I could have gotten a new copy to replace mine but that's life. Review: Amazing book from an origami master - Tomoko Fuse is an origami genius, and this book is a brilliant example of that. This is one of my favourites. It contains step by step diagrams that are easy to follow with very little origami experience. However, I do think that most people would probably benefit with a little background before trying to dive into this book. I find the diagrams quite clear, but it took me a while before I was really comfortable working from a diagram only. So, if you have no experience, you might want to look into some origami demos before diving in. Probably my favourite feature of this book are the large octagon box patterns. I haven't been able to find these anywhere else, but they make lovely gift boxes. Tomoko Fuse also provides information on how to make your own variations on these boxes, which is a really lovely addition to the book. So not only is this a book of patterns, you can also learn a lot about how the origami works if you so desire. Whether you are a beginner or a more advanced origami artist, you can't go wrong with this book. Definitely get it while you can, you won't be disappointed! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another Great Origami Box Book *by D***! on January 12, 2010* I have wanted this book for quite some time, and was finally able to find a new copy for less than $30.00 Having folded some of Tomoko's previous boxes, in other books, this book was an easy transition. The octagonal boxes are amazing. Each side is easy to fold, and assembly is within the EASY-MEDIUM range. I would not suggest this to a new origami box folder, but on a scale of 1-10, I would rate the difficulty of this book at a mere 4 or 5. The boxes are easy enough to make that I usually fold one or two while watching a movie, resulting in each box taking 20-45 minutes total to complete, including BOX and LID. This has become one of my favorite origami box books (along with Decorative Origami Boxes by Rick Beech), due to the many interesting variations that each box has. If you don't have this book, GET IT.
