Review: Reliable, Lightweight, and Surprisingly Powerful — Great for Everyday Projects - This AVID POWER drill absolutely delivered for the price. I needed something cordless and easy to handle for small home projects, and it’s done everything I’ve asked of it so far — drilling into wood, metal brackets, and even some drywall anchors — all with no issues. Unboxing & First Impressions The kit includes everything you need to get started right away: the drill, 20V battery, charger, and a nice variety of drill and driver bits. The case is basic but functional. The drill itself is lightweight and balanced in the hand — not bulky or overly top-heavy like some budget models. Performance Highlights • The variable speed control is responsive and smooth. • Battery life is solid — I was able to complete multiple small jobs (shelf install, curtain rods, small furniture builds) on one charge. • The LED light is actually helpful in tight spaces. • Enough torque to drive screws cleanly without stripping. • Not too loud — good for indoor use. I especially appreciated the magnetic bit holder built into the base — small feature, big convenience. Pros • Compact and lightweight — easy to maneuver • Great starter bit set included • Fast charging and long battery life • Smooth trigger control and torque settings • Great value for the performance Cons • The carrying case could be more durable • Not designed for heavy-duty construction — but perfect for light to medium DIY use Who This Is Perfect For DIYers, new homeowners, hobbyists, or anyone needing a dependable cordless drill without paying pro-tier prices. Final Verdict For everyday projects and household tasks, this drill really holds its own. It’s lightweight, powerful, and well thought-out. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a solid cordless drill at an accessible price.
Review: Good Basic Tool - I don't use this very often, but it is nice to have it around. It is powerful enough for my infrequent use and it charges quickly. I've had the heavy-duty versions of cordless drills and just don't need that level of performance any longer. I was glad to see options for those of us who just need the tool a few times a year. It isn't cheaply constructed, but it isn't a pro level tool, either. It comes with a good variety of bits, but I also ordered a kit of bits. My place is constructed with a wide variety of screw types, lol. Better to be prepared than to find I don't have the right bit, right? My primary concern is that it is strong enough to get bolts out of wood. This one can do that well, so no complaints from me.
