It's a great game at any count. The only difference for 2 players is that each player controls two pieces, which must both "finish" in order to win. In the 3 and 4 player games, each player only has one piece which needs to cross the finish line for the win. **Q: Is this the English edition as pictured?** A: I received the English Ed. (12/2020 purchase date). **Q: are the cards smaller then normal?** A: Normal playing cards? Absolutely. They’re the size of the cards in Blood Rage, or the ones that you flip for damage in Gloomhaven, if you’ve played either of those popular games. It isn’t so bad, but it does make shufflinga tad harder. **Q: There is an expansion on boardgamegeek. Any idea when it will be available in the states?** A: There are 2 expansion sets on Amazon now! Note: The Quest for El Dorado: Golden Temples is either an expansion or a standalone game and El Dorado-Heros and Hexs is only an expansion. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Undiscovered gem of board games! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom August 14, 2026* We love this game. It does take a few goes to remember the rules but its so much fun to buy stuff to help you move across the board. Changing board layouts means you can make it harder and there are extensions to the rules included that we haven't even tried yet. Love it! Great game, terrible deal *by on Reviewed in the Netherlands May 4, 2026* The game itself is amazing and deserves 5 stars, but this particular edition only 1 star because the publisher has dropped the ball and doesn't release any expansions, and expansions from other publishers are incompatible with this version. If you want to extend your game in the future, it's better to buy the game from another publisher. ## Frequently Bought Together - Ravensburger The Quest for El Dorado - Exciting Strategy Board Game | Suitable for Kids & Adults | Designed for 2-4 Players | Inclusive of Mini Expansion - Pandasaurus Games Castle Combo Card Game - Maximize Combos in This Card Placement Strategy Game, Quick Competitive Family Game for Kids & Adults, Ages 10+, 2-5 Players, Playtime, Made - Pandasaurus Games Sea Salt and Paper Card Game - Ocean-Themed Strategy Game, Fast-Paced and Tactical, Fun Family Game for Kids and Adults, Ages 8+, 2-4 Players, 30-45 Minute Playtime, Made --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/736828281-ravensburger-the-quest-for-el-dorado-strategy-board](https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/736828281-ravensburger-the-quest-for-el-dorado-strategy-board) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kenya* *Store origin: KE* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
