She recommended a saline inhaler to help loosen up mucus in the chest and nasal passages. I bought this inhaler, the Boogie gentle saline nose wipes and the boogie mint eucalyptus bath salts. We also already use the Boogie antibacterial hand wipes so I figured we’d try the other Boogie brand items. We tried the saline inhaler as soon as it arrived and it made an instantaneous difference for my son’s nose! It softened everything crusty in his nose enough to gently wipe it away with the saline wipes, and his nose began running more freely again so I could wipe it. I hope it also helps with the nose bleeds he’s been getting. The mist coming from the inhaler is incredibly thin and fine, scent-free and my son seemed curious enough about the mask to willfully put his face to it and breathe it in. We used it on and off for maybe 4 minutes! I plan to immediately buy another bigger can of it so we can have it until he’s better again and for the next time he gets sick. I’m sure adults can use it too, of course. While I wish it was a little cheaper, I know it’s reusable and sterile, so I’m comfortable paying for it.
