Review: Works well - Used on door lock actuator screws. At first I was starting to strip them so I bought this and with a little heat (to melt the locktite) they all came off after a few wacks. Would definitely recommend.

I’m a hobby mechanic, I restore cars, do my own maintenance on cars, ATVs, generators, etc. I run into a lot of wonky screws and I hate drilling them out. This tool is great! I use it on delicate parts like carbs (light taps!) and seized brake screws. Even on partially stripped screws I have good luck. Glad it’s part of my toolset!

**Q: What’s the warranty on this?**
A: Well, I'm not aware of a warranty. Sorry to not be much help on your question. I have used mine a couple times. The Philips head bit and even used an eight lb hammer to hit it and it performed flawlessly. Hope this helps you. Take care, V/r,

**Q: My #2 phillips 5/16" shaft bit keeps breaking. Can I buy just #2 phillips 5/16" shaft replacement bits for my power driver?**
A: yes you can. You can find them just about anywhere.

**Q: Can you use sockets or is it only the screw bits?**
A: I use a 25 inch long, 1/2 inch drive breaker bar and impact rated sockets for loosening too tight nuts and bolts (I also have a 3/8 inch breaker bar for bolts and nuts too small for a 1/2 inch socket but haven't had a need to use it).  Watch using a "cheater pipe" on one, though -- that is a great way to bust the anvil on a breaker bar (been there, done that).  I suppose this impact driver might work if you pound on it hard enough with a four pound "engineer's hammer".  How many times you would get away with it before the impact driver broke I don't know.  If I ran into something where I didn't have room for the breaker bar I might try it.  I don't have this model impact driver so I can't speak to any idiosyncrasies with this particular item.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing tool well worth the money with a few minor flaws

This impact driver deserves a 5 really, but there are a few things that made me drop a star. First, the good: Succeeded where others failed- I borrowed my dad's old, never used impact driver from the 80's- a tekton precursor I believe. I beat on the thing for hours trying to remove my rotor screws (02 accord, rusted/seized). Two of them came out after an hour's worth of work. The remaining 6 didn't budge and were near stripping. I tried on several occasions with a can of liquid wrench and other penetrants handy. Nothing worked. Wanting to replace my brakes, calipers, and rotors, I needed the screws removed. I totally destroyed the other impact driver by beating on it endlessly, so I decided to buy this as a replacement. I gave it one last go with the old one (about 30 minutes worth) and decided to try this one... in about 5 bangs with the hammer, the screws basically fell right out. I was totally amazed but thought it had to be a one time thing... nope, each screw thereafter took only a few bangs and came out. In that regard, this tool deserves a 10 out of 5, it's that great! Why did it lose a star then? Two reasons. 1. The plastic sleeve holding the driver was busted before I opened the package. It could have easily fallen through and banged my toe- this tool is not light. I would definitely have preferred a sturdy blow molded storage case. 2. As other reviewers have warned, everything in backwards. L is to tighten, R is to loosen. I didn't believe this at first, but you can tell as soon as you hit the driver and try to turn it the wrong way. The instructions are even wrong. Since this is really the only function of the tool, it is hard to overlook incorrect instructions and markings.
