(that was in summer of 2017)update - june 2018 I guess I'd had the rice a month or so and found it had little bugs in it. When I was a kid we called them weevils, but not sure that is the name. I also bought organic oats. It too had the little bugs in it. I thought maybe the bugs went from the oats to the rice. However when I opened the other bag of rice I'd bought it too had the bugs in it. So I had to throw out 20 pounds of rice and 25 pounds of oats. The only common element is that I got it all on Amazon. I'd love to buy it again, but not if it is full of bugs.update - April 2019. I don't know what happened in 2017. So many things I ordered had the little bugs in it. I had my second unopened bad of this brown rice in my pantry. I thought I had already opened it, but I hadn't.
