Colgate Total Adventist Whitening, which I had used for many years, primarily contains triclosan and fluoride, aimed at fighting plaque and protecting enamel from cavities. The tube I use contains 181g of toothpaste, which is quite standard for most brands. However, SP-6 took a completely different approach by offering ingredients like *Lactobacillus Ferment*, which, as I found out, helps maintain a balance of beneficial bacteria in the mouth. They come individually boxed and shrink-wrapped, and each box is well labeled in English. The paste itself feels very gentle (not a scouring polish, but more a foaming lather type of toothpaste). It is easy to use and leaves a very clean mouth-feel that lasts. The probiotic claim is fascinating, but I have no way to test whether the cultures are live and survive in the mouth. If those cultures really are present and live, and can inoculate the mouth, it seems like that would be genuinely helpful for dental health.
