## Description

No matter what iron you use, from a standard steam iron to a powerful steam generator, it will surely fit on this extra sturdy Brabantia XL Comfort Ironing Board (Large - Size C). This ironing champion comes with a robust metal steam unit holder designed to accommodate even extra-large steam units (up to 15.7 x 8.7 in), making it the ideal ironing board for steam generator irons. Paired with an unbleached 100% Fairtrade Cotton cover, this board is packed with nifty features. This "all you need for great ironing" board, Brabantia's most popular model, provides exceptional stability with its solid four-legged steel frame and non-slip protective caps, so you can iron with confidence. It's easy on your back too, adjusting to seven different heights (27.2-37.8 in) for your ergonomic comfort. Safety is built-in, featuring a child lock to prevent accidental closing and a transport lock to keep the foldable ironing board secure when stored or moved. The ironing experience is enhanced by the premium 100% Fairtrade certified cotton cover, which has a natural feel with its typical dark flecks. This, along with a resilient foam layer and a 'crease killer' perfect fit system (cord binder and stretch system), ensures your iron glides smoothly for impeccable results. As a fair and sustainable choice, all cotton is Fairtrade certified, and the board is Cradle-to-Cradle Certified at Silver level. Built for years of problem-free use, this exceptional iron table is backed by a 10-year Brabantia guarantee.

Review: No longer have to worry about my steam generator falling off my ironing board. - I am glad I purchased this ironing board. It is sturdy and the tray holds my Rowenta steam generating iron without sagging. The cats can jump on it and off it without having the board move. They know they are not allowed on it so they are on and off in a few seconds with less than graceful jumps. This board also works well for a 6' 5" man who usually had to iron hunched over smaller boards. He likes the longer and wider board size so he is not having to move his clothes around. I sew and and knit, the board is a good size, doesn't get soggy when I block my knitting, and the pad that comes with it is thick enough not to show the metal mesh pattern. The board is not perfect, I would love to see it have an extension cord and a plug for the steam generator like my board in Germany had, and I did add a thin pad. Taking it down is not as easy as I would like, you have to stand it up straight, but I understand why it functions as it does. The price was a bit much, but given what is available here in the US for $30 or so less...
Review: Quality ironing board - I'm happy with my purchase of the Brabantia ironing board. I had to return the first one because it was damaged on arrival, but the second one arrived safely. It's a great upgrade from my old cheap one that I got at a big box store. I got size C (49" x 18") with the steam unit holder. I use a cordless iron with a base, and the platform to hold it is very nice to have. The platform is a good size and I can even keep my snips, water bottle, and ruler on it too. The other thing I like is that this ironing board can be raised as high as ~38" and since I'm tall (~5'11") this works well for me. As for negatives, there are not many. It is sturdy, but not quite as sturdy as I was hoping. It does rock a little bit and shift more than I was expecting when pressure is applied. However, I suppose my expectations might be unrealistic. It is still much sturdier than my old one.
