Being able to control the flow of water (on or off) with the valve. Con: Small front pocket. I was able to get 2 granola bars, my keys, and 2 mask in the pocket. I was disappointed that my phone didn't fit (even without all the other things in it) but it wasn't a dealbreaker. Overall opinion: I love it. Just make sure you completely and correctly close the lid on the bladder. I messed up twice( on two different occasions) and had water leaking down my leg 🤦🏿‍♀️.
