My neurodivergent 5 year old was having a rough time with pen control; he tends to get really overwhelmed when looking at the general shape & design of most letters & numbers, but this book breaks down the structural flow of these letters in a way that could aid any child! I'm honestly so impressed that I'll be giving these out as gifts to new Mom's! I actually think that if there were a coloring book option, it would make it that much more thrilling for most children! Anywho, your child will perform a series of repetitive, singular connect the dot motions that can easily be framed as "helping" the characters on each page (ex. We need to help the plane get to it's destination.), then, after completing the series, your child will be introduced to a corresponding letter that uses the same simple motions in it's creation! Isn't that incredible? I took a shot in the dark on this one & was not at all disappointed. It's so simple, yet so perfect! I can't tell you how relieved I am to find something like this! It's actually been life changing... He's completely gained confidence where writing & drawing are concerned, which means everything to my husband & I! From the bottom of a grateful mother's heart: Thank you! You changed a child's life. :) Review: Just go buy it right now! - Let me start by saying I literally can’t think of a con with this book. I was looking for something that didn’t go in alpha order, but by order of difficulty. This does that. So your kid gets some quick “wins” with T, and lower case l. Instead of getting stuck on uppercase B right away haha. Pros: There are a ton of activities. They keep my kid’s attention. The “story” is clear for each page. (Ex: You’re drawing straight lines to make the sides of a rectangular crayon.) It appeals to boys, girls; kids who like space or sports. It has nature and community helpers; fairy tales and animals. Some pages are funny (ex: mice on slides). They have a clear “go” dot (green) and “stop” dot (red). The pages are thick. (I did like a lot of reviewers and placed in page protectors in a binder - to use with dry erase.) My 3-year-old even works on them independently at the table while I make dinner. — The book is inexpensive and high quality. You won’t regret just buying it. ## Features - Features tracing activities for handwriting strokes such as lines, circles, and curves - Helps students develop fine motor skills - Promotes early reading concepts such as letter formation and letter recognition - Helps children 3 and up master printing skills ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #3,291 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #12 in Children's Handwriting Books #13 in Children's Test Preparation Books #24 in Children's Alphabet Books | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 4,230 Reviews | ## Images ![Trace with Me: Pre-Handwriting Workbook - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81+9gA4Ry5L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Media Format** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wow! *by S***E on October 1, 2022* Absolutely brilliant! Lots of prewriting exercises before letters, and presents the letters in a very thoughtful way- building upon each practiced skill. I’ve looked at so many handwriting books that have zero thought put into it- letters presented in alphabetical order and no prewriting activities. I paired this with small triangle pencils to help correct my child’s grip and I’ve quickly seen a huge improvement. ## Frequently Bought Together - Carson Dellosa Trace With Me: Letter Tracing for Kids Ages 3-5, ABC Letter Tracing & Handwriting Practice Workbook for Kids PreK and Up, Trace Letters Alphabet Handwriting Practice for Preschool - My First Learn-to-Write Workbook: Practice for Kids with Pen Control, Line Tracing, Letters, and More! - My First Book of Patterns: Pencil Control --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/63897524-trace-with-me-pre-handwriting-workbook](https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/63897524-trace-with-me-pre-handwriting-workbook) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kenya* *Store origin: KE* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
