New BN59-01432A Solar TV Remote Control Replacement for Samsung Neo QLED 8K HDR Smart TVs, with Voice,2023

I've had several "universal" Samsung remotes, and they don't particularly substitute well for the BN59-01432A that comes with the 2023 Samsung S90C series. My sense is that the universal remotes operate on infrared, and the BN59-01432A works on both infrared *and* Bluetooth, which makes for a much more seamless experience when you might not have line-of-sight directly to the IR receiver on the TV.This, by contrast, is a near exact duplicate of the Samsung BN-01432A. Same size, same buttons, same solar charging cell on the back. If not for the fact that the original says "Samsung" on the front and the fact that some of the printing is in slightly different fonts on the fine print on the back, I'm not sure I could tell the difference. I've only had the new one for an afternoon, so I don't know how durable it is, but it appears to operate just the same as the original once it is paired to the TV.Two important notes. First, the TV will only allow one paired remote at a time using Bluetooth. So you can replace the old remote, but if you want to have two at the same time, only one will use Bluetooth and the other will (less effectively) work for some of the functions via IR.Second, the pairing instructions come in the bag, and they are quite simple, *but* you do need to have line-of-sight to the IR receiver on the TV. That was an issue for me at first because I have a Samsung Q900 sound bar in front of the TV, and it apparently blocks the IR receiver. I've never had any issues with my factory-included remote before because (as mentioned) the factory remote works on Bluetooth as well as IR, but for pairing purposes, both this item and the original factory-included remote require line-of-sight to the IR receiver. I originally thought this item was defective because it wouldn't pair despite being within inches of the TV, but I wasn't paying enough attention to directing this at the IR receiver behind the sound-bar. Frankly, that one is on Samsung: if you are going to market a series of soundbars to fix the mediocre sound on the OLED TVs, you shouldn't place the IR receiver exactly where the soundbars are most likely to be placed.But once that was figured, this new remote paired with the TV and worked just the same as the old remote.

Works great, easy to pair.

It so frustrating. It worked for a week or so, then it failed. You have to hit the button 3-5 times before it responds. Nerve racking!!! Too late to return. Waste of money.

Works great only issue the voice command it doesn’t work

My husband accidentally washed the remote to our new tv, why he puts it in his pocket, I will never understand. Sony said it would be here in 3 months. This replacement works great and arrived in a few days- for cheaper too!!
