It super light, breathable, reflects the sun & fits perfectly as it's easily adjustable. Because the peak is structured, it doesn't flop around in the wind like other hats I've bought. Being hypercritical, I wish the mesh sides were a lighter colour to better reflect the sun. Instructions say you can machine wash it but not tried this yet. Overall very happy with the purchase. However, although being black and not exactly wise to wear in hot sun, even on cooler days I was getting fed up of how drenched my head was getting - not to mention the white salt lines from the sweat. The Outdoor Research cap is very lightweight and thin with the additional benefit of the mesh sides for air flow and venting. It's well made and doesn't appear to have faded in the sun so far.
