It came in two separate boxes but that wasn’t made clear so I waited about another 3 to 4 days for the second package to arrive. It took me a whole day to put this together. So maybe 6 hours. But it was a lot of fun to see it come together. Like an adult lego project. I highly recommend a power drill as hand tightening screws took longer. However, use a low setting on the drill to be careful not to split the wood. I had no issues with this but did have a corner damaged and tried to glue it. Didn’t affect function and hard to notice cosmetically. I was impressed with the instructions, and how each step was thought out and holes were pre-drilled where they needed to be. The roofing and design has kept water out even in bad storms. The nesting boxes are easily accesible and the main area is easy to clean. While putting it together and moving it about after assembly, it definitely is a bit fragile. However this can be a plus when considering weight. It’s made of cedar so won’t quickly. I’ve had my hens in it, outdoors for about a month now and no predators have made their way in. The functionality, appeal of this design and the price compared to other hen houses.
