I've used this for years! Great for covering grey and very natural colour. Easy to apply and good price!

The box of Clairol Age Defy hair dye arrived a bit battered but that is usual with hair dyes, as the boxes are often too flimsy, but the contents were intact. Application is pretty much like any box dye usually is. I did not use the bottle to apply mine as I use a hair dye bowl and brush as I find this easier and I get a better finish (these are available on Amazon and I find are a real asset to hair dying).The dye did not have an overpowering smell that some do which is a plus point. It was easy to apply and did not drip. It rinsed out well and I liked the conditioning treatment and there is enough left to use another two times. My hair is naturally auburn with some white hairs and I tend to go for this sort of shade (Golden Blonde) as too many of the auburn shades are just too vivid. I was pleased with the colour which covered well and looked natural.The only thing that disappointed me was that it faded too quickly but, apart from that, I liked this hair dye and think the price is reasonable so I will give it four stars.

Have been using this colour for a couple of years. It’s very easy to use and I’m always happy with the colour. Simple of mix the solution and apply. Just takes a bit of practice with the application. I do it on my own hair but my daughter has also helped me so if you want to some is definitely easier letting someone else apply! I love this conditioner too, always leaves my hair feeling soft and not dry

Love this hair dye seems to last ages on my hair. Coverage of grey is very good.

The product is great, however after 11 (multi-pack) purchases on Subscribe and Save, I have cancelled due to many of the boxes in the shipment having missing and mixed up components, which make it neither value for money, or easy to use. The most common missing items are the white bottles of fixer, and sometimes get multiples of the same item (like conditioner, to make up weight perhaps?) in the same box. Will not buy this from Amazon again, and Amazon makes it impossible to complain about this ... hence this review.

Looks so natural even though my hair is really grey now. It's the best I've found to look like my real colour and also seems to add highlights even though I have it put on as a solid colour! Everyone askes me where I get my highlights done and don't believe me I don't have highlights! I have loads of compliments so I stocked up! I've also bought number 6 which is quite a bit darker but still has lovely tones in it. I just do the regrowth each time not the ends and perfect every time :) can't recommend enough

Disclaimer - I used a mixture of boxes before and used this to colour my slightly ginger medium blonde that had been achieved from Brown using 2 box dyes. The photo I had just woken up and went to try something on, not the best photo to show the colour but I don’t have any other ones.I put this all over and didn’t use the pre sachet they gave me (I would have done normally but I’d done so much to my hair I was a bit worried). The colour came out pretty even despite all my mess underneath and it was a LOVELY shade. It didn’t dry my hair out or make it feel straw like, in fact it was pretty soft (not just for the first washes either). The conditioner smelled nice and the dye didn’t leave my hair with that strong ‘I’ve just been dyed smell’.I would definitely use this again, although I don’t have greys - I had a build up of brown, strawberry blonde and well, whatever else was mixed in with that. And it evened everything pretty well (for an at home drastic change of colour). I imagine on less messed with hair, it would be very lovely
