Comes with a measuring cup that has a needle at the base for puncturing eggs (make them cook faster). You need to use oil or similar on the tray for poached eggs so they don't stick to the tray. Cooks eggs in 3 min to 10 min depending on how runny you want the yolk. There is a loud alarm that sets off automatically when eggs are cooked. Sleek design. Cooks the perfect egg. Amazing value for money. Easy to use and comes with instruction booklet. Less water added = shorter timer & more runny egg.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Convenient and reliable egg cooker with one minor drawback

I've been using this Philips egg boiler regularly, and it's made preparing eggs much more convenient. It takes the guesswork out of boiling eggs, and they come out consistently cooked to the desired level. It's compact, doesn't take up much space on the worktop, and is very straightforward to use. The included measuring cup and piercing pin are also useful touches. Cleaning is simple as long as you wipe the heating plate after use, and the transparent lid lets you check on the eggs while they're cooking. The buzzer is loud enough to hear from another room, so you know when the eggs are ready. The only feature I feel is missing is an automatic shut-off. Once the buzzer sounds, the appliance continues to heat until you switch it off yourself. An auto shut-off would make it a truly hands-free appliance and provide a little extra peace of mind if you're busy with other tasks. Overall, it's a well-made, dependable kitchen gadget that saves time and consistently produces good results. Despite the lack of automatic shut-off, I'd still happily recommend it to anyone who regularly boils eggs
