I bought these to fill with BASF granular ant bait. I snap two of these trays together so that they are covered (like shown on the cover of the box), this means this 16-pack gets me 8 bait stations. The bait have entry points on all four sides, which increases the likelihood of ants getting to the bait. Each station also capable of holding quite a bit of bait. In fact, I think next time I need to deploy these I am going to put protein based granular bait on one side and sugar based liquid bait on the other side. I had considered the Catchmaster Heavy Duty Bait Stations, but I was concerned about the lid flipping open, which was confirmed by multiple reviews. The bait stations are very good, and the plastic is pretty solid. Side Note About Ant Bait: Ants eat two types of food, sugar & protein. Certain types of ants prefer one over the other, but even same types of ants will choose which of the two they need based on the needs of the colony at that time. I had ants almost completely ignore sugar baits, which had never failed me prior. I had to get protein baits, and the ants completely went for only the protein bait. You can put out both types of bait at the same time. If you are seeing large swarms of ants, particularly flying ants, this means you have a large colony, possibly multiple colonies. Review: Reusable bait traps for gel or granular baits - Great traps that can be used with gel or granulated baits. Reusable! Their bait gel works great. ## Features - ANT BAIT NOT INCLUDED – DESIGNED FOR MAXIMUM INFESTATION CONTROL: Use with DEFIANT Liquid Ant Bait (sold separately). These reusable indoor ant traps effectively deliver ant killer bait, eliminating the queen and the colony. Effective against Little Black Ants, Argentine ants, Crazy ants, Ghost ants, Odorous house ants, Pavement ants, and other Sweet-Earing ants. - REUSABLE AND STACKABLE: Unlike other pest control traps and bait stations, DEFIANT stations can be washed and re-used for year-long ant protection. Fit together two individual ant trap stations to create a covered station for added ant bait protection. This helps protect the station from dusty, wet or hot environments. - EASY TO USE: To use, apply 20 generous drops of DEFIANT Liquid Ant Bait (sold separately) or your preferred liquid ant bait into the ant bait station. Ants will appear as they take the ant bait, and bring it back to the colony. In result, the entire queen and colony is eliminated for total ant control. DEFIANT Liquid Ant Bait is effective against Little Black Ants, Argentine ants, Crazy ants, Ghost ants, Odorous house ants, Pavement ants, and other Sweet-Earing ants. - DEFIANT ANT CONTROL SYSTEM: DEFIANT Ant Control System is the only ant control solution that adapts to your home and your needs. DEFIANT Classic Reusable Ant Bait Stations are perfect for indoor use - along baseboards, corners and kitchen counters. - INTELLIGENT PEST MANAGEMENT: At our core, we are dedicated pest detectives. Borax does not cause instant death for an ant, giving them time to tell other ants where the bait is located and return the bait to the colony. **Q: Does its bait remain effective during humid conditions?** A: Yes, DEFIANT ant bait works in humid conditions. Humidity can actually be helpful because it reduces the pace the that the bait dries out at. It is most appealing to ants in its most viscous form. **Q: Do ants prefer this bait over other options?** A: Yes, ants are attracted to the liquid in DEFIANT Traps, often preferring it over other options. This borax-based bait is irresistible to ants. The ants consume the bait and share it with the colony, helping eliminate ants at the source. **Q: Are there special instructions for cleaning the stations to maintain effectiveness?** A: To clean the bait stations, wash with soap and water. Refill the bait station with DEFIANT Ant Killer Liquid and place wherever there is ant activity. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect Reusable Bait Station *by M***R on June 22, 2026* This review is for Catchmaster Defiant Refill Bait Stations (16 Pack). Reusable! Their bait gel works great. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Easy enough to use. But could be better. *by M***. on November 17, 2024* Eas enough to use. But as a stacked trap it takes a bit of effort to snap it together. Wants to keep coming undone. It is also squishy plastic. So not really "safer to use around pets and kids" It takes virtually zero effort to pop this thing open. So if looking for a safe contained trap this isn't it. ## Frequently Bought Together - Catchmaster DefiANT 16 Reusable Bait Stations (8 Stacked) (Liquid Ant Bait - NOT Included), Multi-Surface Ant Killer for Home, Discrete Traps Indoor, Pest Control Traps, Reduce Infestation of Ants - TERRO Ant Killer Bait Stations T300B - Liquid Bait to Eliminate Ants - 12 Count Stations for Effective Indoor Ant Control - Advion Ant Gel Bait, 1 30-Gram Tube, 1 Plunger and 1 Tip, Effective Bait, Formulated with 0.05% Indoxacarb, Indoor and Outdoor Use, Killer Gel for Control of Most Major Ant Species --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/609779890-catchmaster-defiant-reusable-ant-traps-indoor-refill-16-pack-bait](https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/609779890-catchmaster-defiant-reusable-ant-traps-indoor-refill-16-pack-bait) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kenya* *Store origin: KE* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
