## Description

Substantial storage, top-notch comfort, and extreme customizability are just a few reasons that the Assault Pack is such a great backpack. Four expanding compartments provide up to 28 liters of storage with built-in internal dividers and zippered pockets. Adjustable reinforced padded mesh shoulder straps, an adjustable waist strap, and a sternum strap evenly distribute the weight across your shoulders and waist for all-day comfort. A padded mesh back panel serves as a concealed pocket or provides storage for almost any hydration bladder, up to 3.0. With compression straps on three sides, it is a cinch to tighten down your pack or to reduce the volume if you aren’t fully loaded. The outside of this pack is clad in MOLLE webbing to allow for expansion and customization to make it the perfect base for a bug-out or EDC bag

Review: Worth it by far. - ***Update*** I have had this pack for a little under a year now and I have to say it is taking a beating. It is my Every Day Carry bag and laptop case. I have been carrying it in all weather and still have not had a single issue. I have seen some comments about the MOLLE webbing not being spec but I find the narrower loops to hold my gear in place even if the secondary attachment has failed. I have unfortunately dropped it a few times with my laptop in it and it has not had any damage so far. I have scuffed the bottom of the back and primarily used it as a single strap carry and there are no signs of the webbing or the straps coming undone. I am definitely going to purchase another in a different color so I have some options and I will be purchasing another to keep a small kit in my vehicle. Great bag I highly recommend it. Ok, I have had this bag since May 2014 it is October 2014 now. I have overloaded this bag more than once and I carry it everywhere I go with a laptop, charger and my EDC gear and have not had a single issue. The bag is holding up great, the zippers are strong and have no problems. The straps have held up nicely. The only negative thing would be the elastic strap keeper for the leftover strapping, all of them are weak but I don't use them anyway. I cut them off and tape the ends of the straps. Old habits die hard I guess. That being said, those elastic bands never hold up no matter what brand you use so don't let that be an issue purchasing this bag. I will buy another just like this one when I wear this one out or if I decide to change colors. GREAT buy. Update #2, I just pulled this pack out again this weekend and I cannot believe how much I still rely on this bag. I jammed something into it and ripped a seam on it, and instead of throwing it out or retiring it I sewed the seam up and kept going. I still prefer it over my other bags because it is still holding up to the abuse I put it through. Best purchase yet.
Review: Perfectly Sized for Every-Day Carry - I'm active duty military, and a big reason why I selected this bag is because coyote brown is an authorized color so that I can wear this backpack in uniform. I'm also from Texas and I know these guys are a smaller Texas-based operation, so I'm glad to buy from them. It'll take papers, gear, pens, even my 17-inch laptop in its own sleeve. Great ergonomics and the pouches are some of the most correctly-sized ones I've seen. Plus you got the dedicated hydration bladder pouch - all of that is before you start actually using any MOLLE loops. The pouches are the perfect size to where nothing's so small you can't fit what you want (within reason) in them, but none of them are so big to where things get disoriented, jumbled up, lost in the sauce. What's more, it's fairly inexpensive - the price is excellent when you see so many other comparable bags go for twice as much. And it makes absolutely zero compromises in build quality - it's as sturdy and well-done as any I've used. It most certainly beats out the Fox Tactical and Sandpipers Of California bags I had in my older uniforms. Well done, Red Rock!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfectly Sized for Every-Day Carry

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Versatile Pack
*by J***B on February 2, 2016*

Purchased for a "bug out bag" or a "survival bag," however, I have also taken it for day hikes through state parks due to the hydration capability and the expandable capacity. Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF): A great little pack that you can toss a few things in (for a day hike) and compress the bag, or stuff the heck out of it and spend the weekend or prepare for the apocalypse. Comfortable and fully adjustable. **Warning, the sleeve for a hydration bag is on the smaller size so be sure to get a smaller volume.** ::Compartments:: - Three compartments on the front. Two small stacked on one another and a full sized 3/4 zipped compartment. The smallest compartment is on the top and is just a double zipper pouch that you an stuff and has velcro molle system on. The second smallest compartment has an internal storage area for pens/pencils and smalls. Much like you would see is a school backpack. The largest of the three compartments has another sleeved area that you can store small entities in. Each compartment has double zippers, however, they do not completely clam-shell flat. They zip most of the way open which is good so you don't dump everything out. - One LARGE compartment that complete clam shells open FLAT with a small zipper and a mesh sleeve. This is great for putting bigger items, and the clam shell design allows you to open up and lay flat (if you unclip the side compression straps) to look at everything you packed. - Hydration sleeve. Might be able to put a tablet or small laptop in, or a lower volume hydration bag. I ran the tube and mouthpiece out the top and fixed to the strap with a elastic strap. ::Size:: When I went on a day hike, I took a pull-over fleece, a full hydration bag (Camelbak), a couple oranges, knife, protein bars, cell phone, and a small fire starting kit. I had the compression straps cinched down to compress the bag to prevent unwanted movement. When I have more of my "survival" gear packed in the bag, I can let out the straps and have full capacity. Very satisfied with the room. I can have Altoid Tins lengthwise projecting out in the secondary compartment and still can zip shut. So much room. ::Molle:: There is a full Molle system on the pack. Underneath you can hang down a bonus bag or maybe a small sleeping roll. Both sides have one strip of useable Molle with a quick-clip system. The back has the velcro on the top small compartment to personalize and the full panel underneath. Looks sturdy and works well with my beaner and quick-clip system.
