You wont get a good lather worked up and if you do it provides almost no lubrication.-The brush holder and leather slip are decent but the dont help you shave, so thats a nonissue.If you decide to buy this, also buy a new brush and "Prorasso" shave soap (I also recommend their before and after shave). You can replace the mug provided for a bowl or mug in your kitchen cabnet. All said and done.
