Review: Strong & Supportive - I bought this for a very heavy flower box that I wanted hung from our fence instead of sitting on the ground. I was concerned when I bought this if it would work. I was extremely excited to see that it's built to hold large and heavy flower boxes! Plus, the bottom keeps the box in place. I love the way my plants look now on my fence! I will absolutely purchase again when I need to hang up more plants because it functions well.

**Q: How. Wide is.the holder and how. Long**
A: Hi Joan,The area you can put a 'plant holder' would be 14 inches long and 8 inches widethe barrier at the front is 3 inches high and the hooks at the back go back 2 3/4 inches.I have had mine two years with a bird house on and attached it to a branch in a tree...

**Q: My railing is only 1-1/8" wide, not 1.5. Will this still work?**
A: I had a really slim railing also. I would find a better holder. These bend with the weight of the flower box and "droop". After a few years I finally threw them out. Unless you can gerry-rig them to work, I wouldn't bother with these.

**Q: How many pounds does it hold?**
A: We have a 8x36 inch flower box in them loaded with soil and flowers,it probably weighs about 25 pounds and it holds it no problems.

**Q: Can I use a flower box that measures 16 inches long?**
A: The planter boxes I used were 24 inches long.  16 inches should be fine.   How securely the boxes sit depend on what kind of railing you have.  I have wrought iron railing and made sure that the bottom back of the holder was sitting against at least 1 vertical rail.
