I applied it to a small test area first because I didn't want any surprises on my car's interior. After it dried I was happy to see that it left a matte finish. No shiny look no greasy residue and no slick feeling when you touch the leather. The leather still looked and felt like leather which is exactly what I was hoping for. As a quick test I put a drop of water on the treated area and it beaded up nicely instead of soaking in. That gave me some confidence that the protection is actually there. Long-term durability is something only time will tell but my first impressions are positive.
