The alarm panel provides the control signal and power to the siren. **Q: can this be wired in with stranded wire to our Honeywell /ademco vista 20p? also usable outdoor but under cover?** A: Yes these are standard sirens for any Ademco (and many other) systems. Yes they can be used outside covered from the weather such as under an eve. I have mounted then inside eve vents and attic vents too - Ron **Q: Can multiple Wave-2 sirens be connected to a Vista 20p? If so, how are they wired (serial or parallel)?** A: I don't think they can be. I tried both ways and neither worked. I only have 1 of the 2 horns wired on my system. I couldn't get both to work I think they pull too many amps for the little system. If you do find a way please let me know **Q: Seriously wish this had a flashing light is there one just s few dollars more that’s WiFi Soren with left?** A: Just know it isn't that quick. Even if you had wifi, you would still need software to connect to wifi and a relay control mechanism to provide power to siren. I figured they were chinese knock-offs, but what the heck! if they work...Nope, these are actual OEM Homeywell units and they are LOUD! These are good for indoor use and they are smaller than the 700 series sirens. They will even fit between wall studs! (See photo)They also dont draw much current so yo can put more than one on the alarm counder circuit without additional power.And they dont have a wiring harness you need to deal with. its direct to a screw-clamp terminal block (3 Position GND, Steady, and Warble)They do need their fully rated voltage howeverAnyway, these are great! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Received as expected *by on Reviewed in Canada 23 July 2019* Worked as described, Used for home alarm system. Very loud and annoying.....Just like it is suppose to be ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does the job *by on Reviewed in the United States 10 December 2019* So i have Samsung Smartthings which does not have a siren or alarm system, after reading some of the comments here i decided to give it a try as i needed something to sound when there is motion or door contact is open. I also bought a compatible smart switch to plug the siren in. Many people suggested changing the siren configuration to utilize other sounds available but i did not bother. You will have to create new automation in your smartthings app to make this work, i created two scene, one to sound when motion is detected and another to switch off the siren from app, that’s all you need. Sound is loud enough for my 4000 sq/ft home and you can hear it from every corner.
