A 10-sec warm water rinse over the base releases the sphere cleanly every time. Technique becomes effortless after the first use **Q: Does it actually make crystal clear ice, or will it still come out cloudy?** A: Yes — directional freezing pushes air and impurities into a separate reservoir, producing optical-grade transparent spheres. Works with regular tap or Brita water. 90%+ of reviewers confirm clear results. **Q: How long does it take to freeze, and can I make enough for a party?** A: Freeze 18–24 hrs for best clarity. For parties, use the 8-ball model, freeze a day ahead, and store finished spheres in the included bag — up to 6 ready when guests arrive **Q: What type of water gives the clearest results?** A: Regular tap or Brita-filtered water works well. Distilled water can improve clarity further. Proper 18–24 hr freeze time matters more than water type — most customers get crystal-clear results with tap water **Q: Is it worth the price compared to cheaper ice ball molds?** A: Cheaper molds freeze all sides simultaneously, trapping air and producing cloudy spheres. Berlinzo's BPA-free silicone delivers consistent 2.4" crystal-clear results — restaurant quality without a $200+ ice press ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well *by E***R on 21 July 2026* Fantastic design! Works great! Love the clear round balls of ice! Perfect for drinks. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional clear ice maker *by D***N on 22 July 2026* I was impressed. It does make clear ice balls easily. I booked the water as recommended and made sure it was cooled to 100 degrees then froze it. Makes 8 ice balls at a time and comes with a freezer bag. Easy to remove after letting sit at room temperature for a bit. Highly recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does what it says, but takes longer than stated *by S***. on 20 August 2025* I've been wanting to buy one of these for a while, but I'm thinking I should have started out with a 2 or 4 ball unit. The 8 ball unit is huge and will take up a lot of space in your freezer. The main issue so far has been the instructions, and two in particular. One is it says to fill each chamber to the top, which just causes a mess when you're inserting the sleeves. Better to fill to about an half an inch to an inch from the top, insert the sleeves, then slowly top up through the holes in each sleeve. The second issue is that is says that it takes 24 hours, which this unit does not. I use a chest freezer that doesn't currently have much in it and freezes well. After 24 hrs, I took out the first sleeve and only the top was just starting to freeze. After anothe 4 hours, another sleeve, and about half the ball was froze, and after another 4hrs, about 3 quarters. At 36 hours, they were what I considered acceptable, but was not perfectly spherical at the bottom, so you're looking at 36 hours minimum, 48 hours ideal, which may also completely freeze the water in the resevoir giving some imperfect, but large cubish ice cubes. Overall, happy with the product and it does produce very clear ice, even with just regular tap water. ## Frequently Bought Together - Berlinzo Premium Clear Ice Ball Maker - 8 Large 2.4" Crystal Clear Ice Balls for Whiskey, Cocktails & Bourbon - Easy-to-Remove Mold for Ice Spheres, XL Storage Bag & Ice Stamp Press Ring B Included - BERLINZO Large Reusable Ice Storage Bag - Freezer Safe Leak Proof Silicone and Plastic-Free Lunch Bag for Ice and Food Storage - BPA-Free XL Size - Ice Tongs For Jumbo Ice Balls and King Cubes - 18/8 Stainless Steel IceTongs for Jumbo Ice Balls and Cubes - Ideal Serving Tongs ensure a Secure Ice Grip - 7 inch Kitchen Tongs for Ice Ball --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/545730833-premium-clear-ice-ball-maker-mold-8-large-2-4](https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/545730833-premium-clear-ice-ball-maker-mold-8-large-2-4) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kenya* *Store origin: KE* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
