One thing is for sure: from primer coat to tabletop-ready – Speedpaint 2.0 is the fastest, easiest, and most fun way to bring beautifully painted miniatures to life on the gaming table. Your Way into Gaming Speedpaint was designed to be usable with any tabletop gaming system and as an ideal entrypoint to the world of miniature painting for beginners. Playing a game with your friends and family that has unpainted, mono-coloured miniatures can be devoid of immersion, especially if it is a roleplaying game. With Speedpaint, you can easily bring your miniatures to life, especially as a complete beginner. The Speedpainting process is easy and intuitive - just apply the appropriate colour on the surface you want - it's just like colouring inside the lines! Best Practice Guidelines Prime Light Make sure to undercoat your miniatures with a very bright colour such as Matt White Colour Primer from The Army Painter (but Speedpaint will work with most white primers). You will not get the desired effect from a very dark undercoat. That being said, zenithal priming can work just fine with Speedpaint! Get Ready to Speedpaint Our dropper bottles come with two mixing balls pre-loaded, so make sure to shake your paints before using them! Then add some drops onto a palette. Beware that pouring Speedpaint onto your wet palette can stain your sponge and may become gel-like if left in the wet palette for a long time. Load your Brush Now, dip your brush in the Speedpaint and make sure to use a generous amount to get the desired effect on your minis. We recommend that you use a synthetic brush when Speedpainting, as the thick and large amounts of paint can clog up the ferrule of your expensive natural hair brushes. Tips and Tricks You can thin your Speedpaints with the Speedpaint Medium to adjust the opacity to your liking. For more control, paint in sections and apply a coat to the entire surface of the element. Then use a clean brush to remove excess paint by utilizing its capillary action - just gently touch the brush tip to where the Speedpaint has gathered the most, allow the brush a second or two to absorb some of the paint and wick it of on a towel. Make sure to varnish your models when the paint is dry - especially if you are planning on adding extra highlights! ## Features - 🎨 Paint miniatures fast with just one coat. Speedpaint delivers vibrant, highly pigmented colour in one easy step, helping you spend less time at the hobby desk. Apply a generous coat over a light-coloured primed miniature and let the specially designed paint flow across the sculpted surface. - 📦 Start your miniature paint collection with 10 x 18ml bottles, including 9 Speedpaint colours and 1 Speedpaint Metallic. A Basecoat Brush is also included, giving beginners a versatile selection for getting started with fantasy, sci-fi, historical, and other miniature painting projects. - ⚡ Get great results faster, even if you're new to miniature painting. Speedpaint's highly pigmented, water-based acrylic formula provides smooth, vibrant colour in fewer steps, helping beginners paint with confidence while experienced painters can finish armies and other projects faster. - 🖌️ Start with a light-coloured primed miniature, shake the bottle thoroughly, load your brush, and apply one generous coat. Speedpaint flows into sculpted details to create darker shadows while pulling away from raised edges for natural-looking highlights as it dries. - 🎲 Paint Warhammer miniatures, Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) characters, RPG figures, board game miniatures, and 3D printed models with an easy-to-use range of colours. Every bottle includes two stainless steel Mixing Balls, making it easier to mix the paint to a smooth, consistent finish. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0C2Z32FCB | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | 20,146 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) 38 in Model Building Paints | | Brand Name | The Army Painter | | Colour | Speedpaint Starter Set | | Colour Code | #000000 | | Container Type | Bottle | | Country of Origin | Germany | | Coverage | Good | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (907) | | Dry Time In Hours | 4.0 | | Finish Type | Matte | | Full Cure Time | 1 Hours | | Global Trade Identification Number | 05713799805903 | | Included Components | 1 Painting Guide, 10 x 18 ml Speedpaint 2.0 Paints, 1x Hobby Basecoating Brush | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Is Waterproof | False | | Item Form | Liquid | | Item Volume | 18 Millilitres | | Manufacturer | The Army Painter | | Model Name | The Army Painter Speedpaint 2.0 Starter Set | | Model Number | WP8059 | | Paint Type | Acrylic | | Part Number | WP8059 | | Size | 180 ml (Pack of 1) | | Special Features | Non Toxic | | Specific Uses For Product | Interior | | Surface Recommendation | Plastic | | Unit Count | 180.0 millilitre | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** The Army Painter - **Colour:** Speedpaint Starter Set - **Finish type:** Matte - **Item volume:** 18 Millilitres - **Paint type:** Acrylic - **Size:** 180 ml (Pack of 1) - **Special feature:** Non Toxic - **Specific uses for product:** Interior - **Surface recommendation:** Plastic - **Unit count:** 180.0 millilitre ## Images ![Speedpaint 2.0 Starter Set, 10 x 18 ml Acrylic Paints - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81vWK15I2rL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - The Army Painter Speedpaint Starter Set 2.0-10x18ml Speed Model Paint Kit Pre-Loaded with Mixing Balls and 1 Brush- Base, 1 Painting Guide - Model Paint Set for Plastic Models - The Army Painter Color Primer Spray Paint, Matt White, 400ml, 13.5oz - Acrylic Spray Undercoat for Miniature Painting- Spray Primer for Plastic Miniatures - Golden Maple Miniature Paint Brushes Drybrush-10pcs Micro Detail Paint Brush Set, Small Fine Detail Brushes for Acrylic, Watercolors & Paint by Number, Figurine --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/541614639-speedpaint-2-0-starter-set-10-x-18-ml-acrylic](https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/541614639-speedpaint-2-0-starter-set-10-x-18-ml-acrylic) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kenya* *Store origin: KE* *Last updated: 2026-11-08*
