Il fonctionne avec deux piles AAA et son écran rétroéclairé facilite la lecture même dans des conditions de faible luminosité. L’appareil enregistre la vitesse du vent en valeurs minimale, maximale et moyenne, avec une précision annoncée de 4 %. On peut choisir entre plusieurs unités de mesure : m/s, km/h, mph et nœuds, ce qui le rend polyvalent.Il mesure également la température avec une résolution de 0,1 °C, mais la précision reste limitée à ±2 °C, ce qui réduit l’intérêt de cette fonction. Le manuel d’instructions est très succinct et uniquement en anglais, ce qui peut compliquer la prise en main pour certains utilisateurs.Côté design, l’appareil est compact et léger (116 g), livré avec une housse de transport pratique. La consommation d’énergie est très faible, moins de 3 mA sans rétroéclairage, ce qui prolonge la durée de vie des piles.
