Looks like the antenna in the van was at some point replaced for a standard, radio only one. This meant that sat nav did not work and the GPS antenna cable was just loose above the headliner. Looked at the prices of replacement sprinter GPS antennas and I know now why someone chose to use the radio only. Bought this antenna along with a fakra d to sma adapter. Connected it up and got the sat nav working right away. Only used it a few times as still prefer to use my phone for that but never had problems with getting reception from few satellites. Review: Ham radio satellite (QO-100) - This was purchased as a spare for my portable amateur (ham) radio satellite station. Works really well and handy to have a spare in the kit bag, just in case! It’s seldom used in the wet so can’t comment on that side, but given that it gets thrown in the back of the car as part of the kit, I can say it is rugged.
