At night you can use cocoa butter after the product dries. In the morning all the products have absorbed and your face will be very soft. After you wash your face, you can follow up with a toner, then this serum, then a moisturizer. If you don't want to do all of that, I'd recommend using this right after washing your face followed by a moisturizer. I find that it works really well and provides an unbeatable value for money. Previously I have purchased some higher-end vitamin C serums from big-name skincare brands, and they work, in my opinion, just as well as this one. Keep in mind that you have to use it for extended periods of time to notice the desired results – effects are not instantaneous. I noticed that my skin looks brighter, my dark spots are less noticeable, and I just have a healthy glow to my skin. I go to a dermatologist every once in a while and consulted with him before I started using this particular vitamin C serum. He said that the most important thing is to make sure that you’re not mixing products together that should NOT go together and if you have sensitive skin, please do a test patch first. For the price, I most definitely think it’s worth giving this product a shot before spending that money on a higher-priced, high-end item. You just might be surprised which one works better. I certainly was. Also, note that the potency of vitamin C goes down the longer the bottle remains open, so you need to keep note of when you started using it and when you should probably throw it away and start using another bottle. If the formula becomes less potent due to natural degradation, you won’t see the same noticeable results.
