Review: Great drawing desk - I waited a couple of months after purchasing before I wrote this review because I wanted to use it a bit first. This is a great desk for drawing at the price point. It was easy to assemble and only took about 30 minutes. It is well built and looks nice. The desk is very stable even in the full tilt position. There are several on desertcart that look the exact same so I purchased the cheaper one. I use this more than I use my H frame easel except for when i’m drawing portraits because it will not tilt straight up and down and when I draw portraits I prefer to have my drawing surface and paper 90 degrees to the floor when viewing my subject. The tilt on this desk is very good with a wide range of tilt just not a full 90 degrees. See photo of the desk tilted fully. Initially I thought the stool that comes with it would be flimsy and I would not use it and made the purchase not planning to use it however, I was surprised at how sturdy it is and I use it often. I’m a bigger guy at 240 lbs and it’s fine. The desk has a great range of height adjustments as well so seated or standing you should be fine. If I could suggest one thing to the manufacturer it would be to include some clips for holding your drawing paper but what I found that works great is magnets. I place several on the underside of the glass and place the magnets on the top side on my paper and the magnets hold the paper. Of course you can use low adhesive artist tape as shown in one of the photos so it’s a matter of preference. I also purchased an adjustable LED light for when I need additional light source. The light shown in the photo did not come with the desk. All in all I highly recommend this to anyone needing a nice looking stable work station not just for drawing and arts and crafts like I use it for.

A: Yes! The pencil try at the bottom is removable too or you can just not put it on.

The desk is made well and sturdy, takes at least 2 people to assemble and the stool is made for hobbits, it is about 2 foot tall. The desk will work well for middle schoolers and down.
