Protecting plants from the heat
I put this straw down as mulch right before a 2-week heat streak of Over for 100° and I haven't lost any plants yet. Going strong into the next heatwave now.

This is extremely clean straw and covers more area than I would have ever imagined. I am so glad I read the reviews and trusted the opinions of those who say it goes a long way. I gave myself a break rather than deal with messy bales and still find seeds. Whew, just so worth it for me.

I'M NEW TO USING STRAW MULCH
i was happy with the quick delivery.i'm using this straw to cover my tomato plants and trying to keep them from drying out. That is my main concern as its a very hot summer.Not sure if I can reuse this stuff, but if I can even save half of it, that would be nice.Also purchased a RAISED GARDEN BED and going to use it there, but not till next season. OVERALL, I THINK THIS IS A GOOD IDEA AND WORTH TRYING IT. Packaged neatly also.Thank you

Excellent clean dry and well packaged for making compost
I couldn't find an organic option in my area for an non-herbicide straw. Who knows what a farmer may of put on it before it was harvested. I primarily use this only for making compost. I layered brown and green compost materials and in 2 days Pile was 125 degrees F. For the price, it's a little fair for what your get. Delivery was quick and packaging was great.
