Review: It works very well - Quick delivery. Fair price. Once you manage to get the cover ring off your camera by twisting it anticlockwise . Then attach the auto lens cap to the camera in a clockwise click. It's simple and the automatic lens cap works very well. This amateur photographer is well pleased with it.
Review: Room for UV Filtyer - This is a "petal" lens cap for a Leica D-Lux 8 Camera. It is much cheaper than the Leica equivalent, but it also has a significant advantage up it's sleeve. I use Urth magnetic filters - and with the magnetic filter ring screwed on - with this lens cap, it is possible to leave a UV filter on the lens and the petal lens cover still closes. It is easy to fit and ensures protection of the lens more than the Leica one. Looks great on the camera.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Hi, When you remove the outer ring on the camera to enable this to be screwed on, does this expose the lens barrel? Im worried about dust getting in.**
A: Hi I've just looked at my camera can't remember how it fits but the clear glass filter remains...it's excellent value for money and remains trouble free.

**Q: Will it work on an LX3?**
A: No. It does not work with Panasonic LX3. You should choose this one instead:

**Q: will this cap fit a lumix g9 lense12-60 52**
A: It won't open automatically.

**Q: will this fit FZ300 ?**
A: I looked at pictures of the FZ300 and from what I can see there is nothing to hold this this device in place. I would say in that this would be unsuitable for that camera.

### ⭐ Great idea, very poor implementation.........
*by D***D on 25 February 2026*

Poor quality with sharp plastic edges that will scratch the lens barrel of your expensive camera. I chucked mine in the bin and bought the real thing....avoid......
