It simplifies paste application, protects your CPU heatspreader, and comes with 10 high-quality cleaning wipes to maintain a pristine contact surface, ensuring optimal cooling performance and hassle-free maintenance. ## Description The NA-TPG1 is a simple yet highly effective means to preclude thermal paste build-up in the cut-outs of the heatspreader of AMD AM5 CPUs. When the mounting pressure of the cooling solution is applied, excess thermal paste will be squeezed outwards. With AM5 CPUs, this excess paste tends to accumulate in the cut-outs at the sides of the heatspreader and may become difficult to remove. Simple to apply, the NA-TPG1 prevents this undesired phenomenon. Combined with the ten included NA-CW1 cleaning wipes, the NA-STPG1 set gives you everything you need to keep your AM5 processor clean. ## Features - With AM5 processors, excess thermal grease tends to accumulate in the cut-outs at the sides of the heatspreader and may become difficult to remove - The NA-TPG1 thermal paste guard keeps your AM5 based AMD Ryzen CPU clean by preventing thermal paste build-up in the cut-outs of the heatspreader - Dead-easy installation: Simply put the guard onto your AM5 CPU before applying thermal grease and installing your cooler - Risk-free to apply and remove, made from highly heat-resistant polycarbonate - 10x NA-CW1 cleaning wipes included for easy cleaning of both the CPU heatspreader and the contact surface of your cooler – everything you need to keep your AM5 Ryzen setup clean! ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B0BGS66D17 | | Best Sellers Rank | #87 in Silicon Grease | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars (366) 4.4 out of 5 stars | | Date First Available | October 5, 2022 | | Item Model Number | NA-STPG1 | | Item Weight | 2.47 ounces | | Manufacturer | Noctua | | Product Dimensions | 5.43 x 3.46 x 0.63 inches | ## Images ![Noctua NA-STPG1, Thermal Paste Guard AMD AM5 CPUs and 10 Cleaning Wipes - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51H6-yGsSvL.jpg) ![Noctua NA-STPG1, Thermal Paste Guard AMD AM5 CPUs and 10 Cleaning Wipes - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81eLyCC7B1L.jpg) ![Noctua NA-STPG1, Thermal Paste Guard AMD AM5 CPUs and 10 Cleaning Wipes - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Pb31bzrCL.jpg) ![Noctua NA-STPG1, Thermal Paste Guard AMD AM5 CPUs and 10 Cleaning Wipes - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Q9-Yye7KL.jpg) ![Noctua NA-STPG1, Thermal Paste Guard AMD AM5 CPUs and 10 Cleaning Wipes - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61+NOVliFdL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Noctua Thermal Paste Guard - You Need It, Just Might Not Have Known About It *by on Reviewed in the United States December 17, 2024* I wish I had known about the Noctua NA-STPG1 Thermal Paste Guard sooner—it’s an absolute lifesaver! Applying thermal paste can sometimes get messy, but this guard makes the process so much easier and cleaner. It’s incredibly simple to use; just place it on the CPU, and it prevents excess paste from spreading to places you don’t want it to go.Another huge plus is that it’s reusable, so you can keep it handy for future builds or upgrades. And at this price, it’s a fantastic deal for the time and frustration it saves. If you’ve ever struggled with applying thermal paste perfectly, this tool is a must-have. I’ll never go back to applying paste without it! Highly recommended for PC builders of all skill levels. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works as intended *by on Reviewed in the United States June 29, 2026* Great little product, helps control thermal paste mess on amd chips. Totally unnecessary though but def does it's intended job. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seems like it'd work well. Cheaper than a contact frame but wish it were cheaper *by on Reviewed in the United States December 13, 2024* Works as advertised. Certainly much cheaper and less of a hassle than a contact frame.I'm docking one star because it's a bit expensive to only have one guard in the box.I'm guessing the price is what it is due to the generous supply of cleaning wipes but it'd be nice if they through through the product offering a bit more. I don't think most users are constantly needing to re-paste, and if they are they likely already have a cleaning solution available anyways. It'd just make more sense to reduce the number of cleaning wipes to either make it cheaper or include extra guard pieces.Note that the initial reviews of this seemed to suggest that it was still possible for thermal paste to still leak through but as of 11/2024, I think they likely tightened things up and after trying it out yesterday, I doubt that will happen, at least not to the degree where you'd still have a mess to clean up. ## Frequently Bought Together - Noctua NA-STPG1, Thermal Paste Guard and Cleaning Set for AMD AM5 CPUs - Noctua NT-H2 3.5g, Thermal Computer Paste incl. 3 Cleaning Wipes (3.5g) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/503901751-noctua-na-stpg1-thermal-paste-guard-amd-am5-cpus-10](https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/503901751-noctua-na-stpg1-thermal-paste-guard-amd-am5-cpus-10) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kenya* *Store origin: KE* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
