Looking for the dog poo bucket but don't want it too big as my 10 year old is in charge of emptying** A: Coincidentally, I ordered both at the same time. The 6 gallon is definitely the way to go for your needs. I really don’t think you want 10 gallons of poo in a can. Plus, if that all your using it for, you can use inexpensive trash can liners or plastic grocery bags. **Q: Material??? One place says "steel" but another spot says "plastic."** A: These cans are made with galvanized steel. No plastic at all in the construction. Nice and solid. Most importantly for me, rodent proof. **Q: Is it raccoon proof?** A: To make my 20 gallon can raccoon proof (I keep bird feed in it) I had to run a small chain from one can handle through the lid handle to the other can handle. I put a removable link in the chain to be able to access the bird food. **Q: The Behrens 10 gal. states it will hold a 50 lb. bag of dog food/bird seed. What gallon capacity of dog food or bird seed will the 6 gal. pail hold?** A: I have the 10 gal. Only holds about 40 lbs. Fish food. ## Frequently Bought Together - Behrens Galvanized Steel Storage Can or Waste Bin w/ Locking Lid & Handle, 6 Gal. - T.FORING 6 Gallon Trash Bags Drawstring 1.1 Mil - 120 Count Medium Garbage Bags,22.5 Liter Strong Plastic Trash Can Liners Unscented,Thick Waste Basket Bags for Home Bathroom Office Kitchen --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/50278910-behrens-6-gallon-rust-proof-galvanized-steel-locking-lid-dry](https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/50278910-behrens-6-gallon-rust-proof-galvanized-steel-locking-lid-dry) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kenya* *Store origin: KE* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
