## Questions & Answers

**Q: What gauge wire is this?**
A: They're 18AWG. VW-1 80*C 300V 18AWG. Conductor appears silver in color - I'm not sure whether it's nickel coated copper or aluminum. The connector itself will be the "weakest link" in terms of ampacity, if that's the reason for your question. The connector is equivalent to Molex's Mini-Fit Jr spec which is rated at 9A and assuming aluminum conductor with the 80*C insulation the wire should be good for 12ish A.

**Q: Will it work with FX 8 core cpus? They require a lot of wattage.**
A: Using one of these extension cables should not have an impact on the power being supplied to the computer. Just remember to use a quality power supply in the computer. We have an EPS version if the motherboard uses that connector.

**Q: can i use two of these next to each other to extend 8 pin to 8 pin? do they fit?**
A: You might be better off just buying an 8 pin cable (http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-8-Inch-8-Pin-Extension-EPS8EXT/dp/B000M802RG)
