great item especially for camping and storage
I own five of these and they are fairly light and do a good job of storing. The biggest problem is that they are normally over priced at $150. The half off sale made this a good purchase. I believe a better price of just below $70 would make this better.

good box, expensive
There was nothing to really dislike here. It's a nice box, good construction, has been waterproof thru several storms and rains. Basically 2 ft x 1.5ft x 1 ft box. So it's not huge - I'm not certain exactly what I'm going to use it for. At the moment dishes, pots, pans for camping are living in it - I dont' have to worry about rain water getting in them and getting nasty needing cleaning before a camping trip. When we go camping I'll probably add foodstuff I need to stay dry like hot chocolate packs, etc.My issues that got it only 3 stars. It isn't really all that big. It's very nice looking and there is a crowd out there that this matters to but I have a feeling it's going to get dented and scraped in real life use. And it's much too expensive for a waterproof box that size. It seems to me you're paying for that image / look it has more than the functionality.

Over priced and subject to dents.
If you think this is to keep drinks cool or hold ice, forget it!!! As it states, it is a storage box and nothing more. The top is hinged and goes just past 90 degrees so it stays open, but not much pas straight up. So, if you are looking for something with a removable top, this is not it or if you are looking for a top that opens 180 degrees, this is again, not it.This has a very thin metal body, but it is sufficient for good strength and thus provides light weight. But, like any metal product, it is easy to dent . So, keep things clear of it and it will be fine. The closure is a pair of rubber pulls (see pictures) that you pull down and back to lock the lid. since this is a rubber product, remember to provide care so it will not dry out.See pictures for how it seals. Basically, there is a rise in the body that fits into a slot in the top to create a seal. Probably good for dust and limited water if the box is in the upright position and not submerged. The top is designed to allow another of the same unit to fit into the top and thus hold that second unit without it sliding. There are no instructions included and no use specification provided. No mention is made of stacking height or maintenance of the rubber locks or if there is a rubber gasket for the top or just two pieced of plastic. There is a fastening/assembly nut right under each of the handle insets which makes using the handle uncomfortable. Not a great design. All in all, it is a usable box and I would say a definate buy if priced around $40 or so.

Pricey but Good Looking
My local REI stores put hard to peel price tag stickers on these $150 storage boxes, luckily the one I ordered from Amazon did not have any.Great looking container, pricey for the size.

Solid Waterproof Container
As an RVer, Dometic is a common presence, and most always associated with quality. This storage box appears to be no different. The top is a hard plastic, that I'd trust to sit or stand on. The sides are a fairly thin metal, which helps with weight but does seem like it will take a lifetime of dents. The two rubber handles operate smoothly, somewhat similar to a Yeti cooler.Plenty of space inside! The question is what do you put in here? I was hoping it would fit my Starlink Gen 2, but sadly no luck. It isn't insulated and no padding inside, so finding the right products to store is key.We are using it to store camping gear, some electronic, that wouldn't do well getting wet. This box can sit out at the camp site in full weather and those items can be protected. A storage tub could do the same thing, but this sure looks better.Overall a solid product from a brand you can trust. I would have loved to see some removable padding inside for more options, but that can be added.

Well Made and solid
The Dometic GO H50 Waterproof storage box is well-made and solid. It safely stores your gear for easy retrieval anytime you need it. The Dometic name is well known in the outdoor living space. We keep our survival gear in it (Bugout Bag). I placed this in the compartment of my motor coach, so I didn’t have to worry about the contents being damaged. It is a little pricy, but you get what you pay for. Most large containers are made of plastic and will break. This box is solid and doesn’t weigh much, making it easy to handle.

Pricey - but well made.
We had been using bags and boxes to haul food to/from our camper when we load it up for camping and also taking food to our cabin. We always end up with crushed bread, broken crackers and smashed pop-tarts. This is a much better way to transport food. No need to worry about where it goes and what you stack on top. AND - it will work perfect as a dry box for river-bank lunches on float trips. Pricey, but very well made. If it were about 30% less, it would be perfect.
