Review: Works a treat! - This stuff has worked great for me. I’m currently stripping the original finish from a maybe 50/60 year old piece of wooden furniture. I cleaned with sugar soap and dried, before applying a thick coat of the stripper, leaving it on for just 30 minutes. I then used a scraper to scrape away the layers of paint (very satisfying!) before going in with a kitchen nylon brush to buff out the areas my scraper missed, and then used water and sugar soap to wipe off the excess. I’ve another piece of furniture like this, and used a different brand which was ridiculously messy and of poor quality. This type of job is always going to be a bit messy regardless, but provided you have the right tools, it works a treat! I was expecting to have to do another coat, so it’s a bit patchy as I had that in mind, but the remainder will come out during sanding. Before and after pic when it was still wet attached (just did the top for now, didn’t get a good before pic of the top, but it’s the same colour as the rest of the unit).
