I start the seeds in a baggy with a paper towel on a warming mat, and then plant the germinated seeds in starter mix in these planters. Works well for me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth the investment! You won't be disappointed with these. *by B***O on April 19, 2018* These are fantastic seedling pots! The quality is great and can easily be reused for several seasons. I always use the paper towel method to get my seeds going. I place three in each pot and then thin out to just the healthiest one once their true leaves start coming in. It's the perfect size for growing right up until you go to plant them in the garden. The markers are a sturdy plastic. I used a thin permanent marker to write on them. No smudging! Time will tell if they too can be reused since I tend to plant the same vegetables every year.I purchased a two pack of aluminum cake pans from the dollar store. They are 13.5x10x2 and comfortably fit 12 of these pots in each.I have a smallish garden so 48 was a bit overkill for me. I would have liked to have seen this come in a 24 or 36 count. But I have no regrets! I'm just thrilled I won't have to buy starter pots for a few years. :) Worth the investment! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it *by A***R on April 22, 2023* Very solid.
