I would spray directly onto the first foam and apply it to the second. I think there are tips online which I found useful before I started my project. Have a disposable background sheet to catch the excess spray as you make the passes backwards and forwards over the foam. **Q: Is this suitable to use on cotton (e.g. t-shirts) to polyester? I am creating a t-shirt blanket and wanted to know if this would stick.** A: Hello, yes, although you must put the glue on both sides regards **Q: Is this suitable for affixing foam to metal which would then be submerged?** A: Hi Lee, I have only used this on fabric items. Not sure on metal. It does say 77 multi purpose spray so I guess so. It’s been brilliant on what I have used it on, And I would buy again. Hope all this helps. **Q: Does this work on polystyrene?** A: I found this on their website: Bond insulating material such as polystyrene, rock wool, glass wool ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tried the rest, bought the best… *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 12 November 2023* Without doubt the best commercially available multipurpose spray adhesive there is. Don’t get me wrong, it is expensive but you get what you pay for. Application is a breeze with the can producing a fine mist of adhesive in a vertical fan pattern; a couple of overlapping sweeps over the material to be bonded (both sides if you want an extra strong bond), wait around 20 seconds for the adhesive to become tacky then press the materials together. The adhesive goes on and dries clear with no staining whatsoever. I used it to attach a piece of acoustic foam to the rear of a piece of painted aluminium mesh. Couldn’t be happier with the end result. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best glue for fabric and wood *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 4 July 2021* Used this to line a box with velvet. It worked excellently. Bonds many materials together very well (I used fabric, foam, wood and even a little bit of metal). It sprays very well out of can with excellent pressure. Smells ok. Overspray is a pain to clean off your hands and things though. And when applying you must wait 20 or so seconds for it to get tacky and then it sticks well, almost too well to readjust that is. Take your time in preparation but make sure your ready to act fast and steadily when applying it. It’s the best stuff but it is too expensive in my opinion ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Handy stuff. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 25 January 2021* Weird stuff. Very watery but after time and heat, the bond for fabric material etc is good. Don’t expect stringy carpet glue and instant grab, this is more like spray EVA but is solvent based so is much stronger. Handy stuff. ## Frequently Bought Together - 3M 7000116782 Super 77 Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive – Quick-drying Permanent Spray Glue Paper, Fabric, Plastic, Metal, Wood And More, Clear Adhesive, 1 X 500 ml - Gorilla Contact Adhesive Clear 75g - Gorilla Heavy Duty Spray Adhesive, 400ml – Fast Drying, High Strength Mist Spray that Dries Clear | Permanently Bonds Wood, Metal, Fabric, Glass, Leather, Stone, Ceramics & More --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/49121685-3m-super-77-multipurpose-spray-adhesive-clear-adhesive-1-x](https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/49121685-3m-super-77-multipurpose-spray-adhesive-clear-adhesive-1-x) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kenya* *Store origin: KE* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
