**Q: Can you charge the pen with the case on?**
A: The short answer is NO. However, it doesn't matter as the PEN does not need to be charged (according to Kindle's own information in the Scribe's listing). An aside, I really like this case. It's much cheaper than Amazon's offering and opens like a book as opposed to a primary school notepad.

**Q: Lighter than official Amazon Scribe cover?**
A: No it is heavier than the Amazon cover but definitely more functional for reading

**Q: How to clean the black cover surface -- especially removing fingerprints?**
A: I have been successful just using a moist paper towel, not too wet, just damp! For food or fingerprints I have also used a warm damp paper towel with a touch of dish soap! Do not use alcohol or it will remove the image!

**Q: Does it give off an odor?**
A: No, mine does not give off any type of odor whatsoever.

I purchased two of these Fintie Slimshell Cases—one for my 10.2" Kindle Scribe (2022 release) and another for the 2024 release. This case fits both versions perfectly, with a snug and secure hold.
