Once upon a time, as legend has it, there was a sacred isle in ancient Britain called Avalon, where priestesses studied the laws of Spirit and honored the Goddess and the Divine Force within all things. For a very long time, until the Romans came and their Christian churches replaced the Old Ways of Druid, the Goddess ruled, and the priestesses of Avalon―their foreheads painted with the sign of a blue crescent moon―kept the Goddess’s ways sacred. It was believed that only the priestesses could part the veils of the ethereal magical mist that rose above the waters that once existed there... to find their way to Avalon’s shores. Now, with the Wisdom of Avalon oracle cards, Avalon, and the Goddess “she” served, may have faded into the mist, but still, she remains in Spirit, to share her wisdom with those who truly seek her sacred counsel. These beautiful oracle cards are designed to help you get in touch with the patterns that have manifested in your life. They’ll show you what influences have brought you to your current state, and will shed light on the potential direction of future experiences based on the path you’re currently on. Example Oracle Card Meanings: The High Priestess― Go beyond the ordinary, past the chaos of modern life, and trust your inner vision to guide you on your path. The Owl― The Owl lends you eyes that you need in order to see in the dark around you. The Owl can cut through the shadows to illuminate the real truth. The Water Faery― When the Water Faery swims up to you with her liquid magic, she reminds you that emotions and feelings may be running the show. Letting Go― Releasing attachments, expectations, and desires yet unfulfilled―these are some of the aspects of this card. “I designed these cards to introduce you to the magical mythological characters of Avalon. They will symbolically guide you and link you to your greater purpose, help you manifest your heart’s desires, and encourage you to gain greater self-knowledge. To divine means to connect to your soul, so may this divination tool bless you and keep you in the sacred love of the Goddess. Blessed be.” ―All my love, Colette Baron-Reid May you enjoy the wisdom that Avalon brings you! ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Dimensions | 10.01 x 4.14 x 13.82 cm | | Isbn 10 | 1401910424 | | Isbn 13 | 978-1401910426 | | Item Weight | 368 g | | Language | English | | Print Length | 144 pages | | Publication Date | 1 Sept. 2007 | | Publisher | Hay House Inc | | Reading Age | 14 years and up | ## Images ![Wisdom Of Avalon Oracle Cards - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81EVnraVCnL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Format** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Big beautiful card set *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 8 March 2023* This is a beautiful set and unlike many other oracle card sets, it has 52 cards. In some ways it’s 3 decks in one as you have the animal guides, human guides and journeys markers. There are also a few faery cards. The images are nice and inspiring with Celtic borders and the book has enough information to convey the message of each card. I do wish the cards still had the gold gilded edge like the first edition but the first edition had all the journey marker cards being the same, whereas this edition, they are different and better. But shame the gold gilding went, I would’ve liked that. I love the Avalon theme. I’m still drawn to the other Avalon set that’s available more. I just connect more to it but this is very close and very different, so both good in their own right. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful cards *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 16 July 2013* When I purchased this card deck last year I had no idea what to expect. Now a year and a lot of readings later this deck has a steady place in the top 5 of preferred decks. At first I had to connect with the animal cards (the animal guides of Avalon). The guidebook helped me with that a lot. The messages are positive and I love to connect with the animals as they are true guides. They appear in all my readings. The messengers (merlin, lady of the lake, the queen etc. etc.) are strong influences in your life and they advice you to look into what is happend in your life and how to enhance your qualities. Very practical advise. The guidance of faery are deeply connected to your inner being. I love them. The drawings are so beautiful and I enjoy to open up for them. The sacred journey markers are strong cards. They help you to ask the questions which are nessecary in order to grow spiritually and guide to towards answers without fear. I love my insights with these cards.I love Colette Baron-Reid for that she has managed to deliver a wonderful card set with delightful artwork by Gary A. Lippincott. The print and colour of the cards is very nice and the quality is very good. It is not a deck for first timers but when you embrased the cards and learned how to use them than you won't get tired using them frequently. If you love cards this is the deck to love to have. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Straight into regular use *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 15 October 2024* Nice.
