First there were no instruction on how to get the lid off . In turning it over and over a small corner piece fell out, already broke i guess, In trying to pull the lid off tp put in the paper stack, I myself broke another piece off . So I now only have 2 corners holding the lid on. I did figure it out eventually. You have to push down on the clips hold on the lid. It is well made, heavy weight so will lift up when you pull the paper off not , BUT how about some instructions for those of us who have never had one of these paper holders .
